When mold shows up uninvited, WQB Mold Removal sends a licensed crew to Hawthorne fast, with a plan you can actually understand.
📞 Call +1-844-578-1604 NowWQB Mold Removal is a Hawthorne, NY-based remediation company built around one idea: tell the customer the truth about what's in their walls, then fix it properly the first time.
We staff our Hawthorne crews with people who've handled crawl-space colonization, attic condensation mold, and post-flood contamination — not just cosmetic bathroom mildew.
WQB Mold Removal has passed inspection with Hawthorne, NY environmental and health authorities on remediation protocol, and we keep that documentation on file for every job.
A lot of Hawthorne, NY homeowners have already paid someone once for a job that didn't hold up, which is part of why we document every step with photos and lab data rather than asking you to take our word for it.
We also work directly with a network of Hawthorne-area contractors when a job needs drywall replacement, plumbing repair, or roofing work after remediation is complete, so you're not left juggling three different companies.
Here's what our technicians hear most often right before a homeowner finally picks up the phone.
If a room smells like a wet basement no matter how much you air it out, mold is the most likely culprit. Candles and air fresheners might mask it for an afternoon, but the smell almost always returns by the next day.
Water stains on a ceiling or wall, even old ones, mean moisture got somewhere it shouldn't have, and mold often follows within 24 to 48 hours. We can check behind an old repair with a moisture meter in under an hour to put your mind at ease either way.
Children and older family members often show symptoms first, since they're more sensitive to airborne spores. Air quality testing can confirm or rule out mold as the cause before you spend money chasing the wrong culprit.
By the time spotting is visible on a painted wall, the growth has usually been active for weeks already. A quick photo sent to our office can sometimes help us gauge urgency before you even schedule a visit.
From a single bathroom to a flooded crawl space, our Hawthorne crews scale the response to match the actual problem.
When a burst pipe or roof failure floods a Hawthorne property overnight, our on-call crew can be dispatched before the sun comes up. Extraction equipment and industrial dehumidifiers go in immediately to slow the moisture before it ever has a chance to seed a new colony.
We isolate the affected area with plastic sheeting and negative air pressure so spores don't spread to the rest of your Hawthorne home during the work. Affected drywall, insulation, and carpet padding are bagged and removed according to protocol rather than just tossed loose in a truck bed.
Retail spaces, offices, and multi-unit buildings in Hawthorne, NY often need remediation scheduled around business hours to limit disruption. We're comfortable working evenings or weekends on commercial jobs when that's what keeps a Hawthorne business running without interruption.
Buying a Hawthorne home? A pre-purchase mold inspection can catch problems a standard home inspection misses entirely. We use an independent third-party lab for analysis, which keeps our test results objective rather than tied to whoever's selling you the remediation.
Vapor barriers, sump discharge lines, and vent placement all factor into why crawl spaces in Hawthorne, NY grow mold even in homes that look fine upstairs. Encapsulation and sump correction can be bundled with the remediation itself so you're not paying for two separate visits.
For Hawthorne properties with chronic humidity issues, we design a long-term moisture control plan, not just a one-time fix. A small investment in prevention is almost always cheaper than paying for the same remediation twice.
No surprises, no vague timelines — here's exactly what happens once you call +1-844-578-1604.
A quick phone conversation helps us bring the right equipment on the first visit instead of a second trip. Have a rough sense of when the problem started if you can — it helps us plan the visit.
We walk the property with a moisture meter and, when needed, take air or surface samples for lab analysis. You'll get a plain-language explanation of what we found before any decisions get made.
Negative air machines keep spores from traveling to unaffected rooms while the work is underway. We keep the work area as clean and orderly as the job allows throughout.
You'll get a written report you can keep for your records or share with an insurer. Any lingering questions get answered on the spot before we pack up.
Our estimates are itemized line by line, which means you know exactly what you're paying for and why.
We keep a dedicated crew covering Hawthorne, NY so response times don't balloon during peak humidity season.
We hand you lab results and a written scope of work, giving you something concrete beyond our word.
And if something doesn't sit right after we leave, our satisfaction guarantee means we come back and make it right at no extra charge.
We also try to be upfront about what we can't fix on day one — if a Hawthorne home has an underlying roof or plumbing issue causing repeat moisture intrusion, we'll say so plainly instead of quietly re-treating the same spot every year.
Local reputation matters more to a small Hawthorne-area crew than a national franchise ever has to worry about, and that keeps us honest about scope, pricing, and timelines.
If regrowth tied to our workmanship shows up within the warranty window, we come back to your Hawthorne property and fix it at no additional cost.

The questions we hear before nearly every job.
Most Hawthorne calls get a technician on-site the same day, and active emergencies are prioritized ahead of routine inspections. If you're dealing with active water intrusion, mention that when you call so we can flag the job as urgent.
We quote the full scope up front after inspection, and that number doesn't change unless the scope does. We're happy to walk through the line items with you over the phone before you commit to anything.
Our on-call crew handles active flooding, sewage backups, and sudden mold discovery around the clock, including nights and weekends. We also coordinate directly with plumbers or roofers when the source of the water needs to be stopped before drying can even begin.
Testing typically takes a few business days, and you receive a written lab report with the results. We'll walk you through what the lab report actually means in plain terms, not just hand you a page of Latin names.
Some policies cover mold tied to a sudden pipe burst but exclude long-term humidity issues, so it's worth checking your specific policy language. Our detailed photo documentation and written scope of work are formatted to make the claims process as painless as possible.
A single bathroom or small closet can often be completed in a day, while larger crawl space or whole-home jobs may take three to five days. Drying time after water extraction can add a day or two before remediation itself even starts, depending on how saturated the materials were.
Anyone with asthma or mold sensitivities may want to arrange alternate accommodations during larger jobs, and we'll advise based on scope. Pets are usually fine staying in an unaffected part of the Hawthorne home, but we'll flag any exceptions during the walkthrough.
Our containment and air scrubbing protocols are designed to protect the rest of the household while work is underway. HEPA filtration during the job significantly reduces airborne spore counts outside the sealed work area.
Every job addresses the moisture source, not just the visible growth, because treating symptoms without fixing the cause almost guarantees regrowth. We'll also give you practical advice on ventilation, dehumidifier use, or grading changes that can help prevent a repeat issue in your Hawthorne property.
Our dispatcher can walk you through what an initial visit includes when you call to schedule. Even a phone consultation before scheduling can help you understand whether what you're seeing warrants a visit.
"Removal" implies eliminating all mold entirely, which isn't realistic since spores exist naturally everywhere, while "remediation" means returning spore levels to a normal, safe range. Any company promising 100% mold removal is stretching the truth, since outdoor and indoor air both naturally carry some spore count.
DIY treatment can also mask a problem temporarily, which sometimes delays proper remediation until the issue has spread further. For small, non-porous surfaces a simple cleaning may be fine, but anything on drywall, wood, or carpet usually needs a professional look.
